Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use Ripdex. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you can form a binding contract with us.

Ripdex is an independent application created for collectors. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by Nintendo, Creatures Inc., Game Freak, The Pokémon Company International, Wizards of the Coast, or any other trading card game publisher. All trademarks, logos, and copyrights relating to Pokémon and other trading card games are the property of their respective owners.

You may need to create an account to use certain features of Ripdex. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

Ripdex allows you to upload, store, and manage information related to your trading card collection (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant Ripdex a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and store your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. You retain ownership of your User Content.

Ripdex is free to use with certain limits. “Ripdex Pro” is an optional paid upgrade that unlocks additional features, including a higher scan allowance, exports, and expanded analytics. Ripdex Pro is offered as an auto-renewing monthly subscription, an auto-renewing annual subscription, and a one-time lifetime purchase. The plans available to you, the exact price in your local currency, and the billing period are shown in the app before you confirm any purchase.

All purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us. We never receive or store your payment card details. Your purchase is also governed by the store’s own terms (Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, or the Google Play Terms of Service), and payment is charged to the Apple or Google account you used.

Additional terms that apply to paid plans:

• Free trial: eligible new subscribers may be offered a 3-day free trial. The trial converts automatically into a paid subscription at the price shown unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Trial eligibility is determined by the store, generally once per Apple or Google account. If you buy a subscription while a trial is running, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited.
• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The store charges your account within 24 hours before each renewal.
• Changing plans: switching from monthly to annual takes effect immediately, with the store applying any credit or proration it deems due. Switching from annual to monthly takes effect at your next renewal date, so you keep the time you already paid for.
• Price changes: we may change subscription prices. The store will notify you in advance and, where required by law or store policy, ask for your consent before charging a new price. Any change applies only to billing periods after the notice, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
• Lifetime purchase: the lifetime option is a single, non-recurring purchase that does not auto-renew. It grants Pro access for as long as we operate the Service; it does not obligate us to operate Ripdex indefinitely (see Sections 10 and 11).
• Your entitlement is tied to the Apple or Google account that made the purchase, not to your Ripdex login. If it does not appear after reinstalling or signing in elsewhere, use Restore Purchases in the app.
• We may add, change, or remove Pro features, and may adjust the limits that apply to free accounts, as the Service evolves.

You can cancel an auto-renewing subscription at any time through your store account: on iOS, Settings › your Apple Account › Subscriptions (or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions); on Android, the Play Store › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. The app also links to the correct page from the Ripdex Pro screen.

Deleting the app, deleting your Ripdex account, or signing out does not cancel a subscription. You must cancel through the store.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep Pro access until then, and you are not charged again. Except where required by law, we do not provide partial refunds for the unused portion of a period.

Because Apple and Google process all payments, they also handle refunds — we cannot issue one directly. Request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or from Google Play at play.google.com/store/account. Nothing here limits any statutory refund or right of withdrawal you may have as a consumer under the laws of your country, including the EU and UK cooling-off period. Prices shown in Ripdex are estimates aggregated from third-party sources, including TCGplayer and CardMarket. They may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate, and they are not offers to buy or sell. Ripdex is a collection-tracking tool, not financial, investment, or appraisal advice — any decision to buy, sell, or insure a card is yours alone.

Ripdex includes links to third-party marketplaces such as eBay. Some of these are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you make a purchase through them, at no additional cost to you. We are not a party to any transaction you enter into on another site, and those sites’ own terms and privacy policies apply.

You agree not to use Ripdex to:

• Post illegal, harmful, or offensive content.
• Harass, abuse, or impersonate other users.
• Scrape, hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service.
• Upload spam, malware, or unauthorized advertising.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use Ripdex. By using the Service, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from such changes.

You may stop using Ripdex at any time. You may also request account and data deletion by going to Settings › Delete Account in the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect our Service or users.

Ripdex is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, about the availability, reliability, or accuracy of the Service, including any pricing data provided.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ripdex and its creators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ripdex and its creators from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses resulting from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

By using the Service, you agree that:

• Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
• You waive your right to a jury trial or to participate in class actions.
• These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of Ripdex after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
